The Bulgarian center of Shanghai Jiaotong University was established in January 2016. It aims to effectively promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Bulgaria, provide all-round opportunities for academic, scientific research, education, culture and industrial cooperation between China and Bulgaria, and build a platform for science, technology, culture and education exchanges between China and Bulgaria and even central and Eastern Europe. The center relies on the school of agriculture and biology, and is jointly constructed with the school of foreign languages, Kaiyuan law school, School of international affairs and management, New Rural Development Institute and other departments.
